This event was originally scheduled for January 19th and was postponed due to adverse weather.
We have agreed this new date with the landowner and neighbouring clubs.
All details below are as originally intended
except that registration and starts have been made somewhat later
in line with the later sunset time.

Friday, 7pm: THE EVENT IS ON, DESPITE THE WEATHER DOING ITS BEST TO REPRISE THE CONDITIONS ON JANUARY 19th.
If weather is unexpectedly bad on Saturday and we are forced to cancel on the day, we will do our best to post a message on the WAOC website. To confirm with the organiser that the event is "GO", phone 07970 785170.

Courses Night Orienteering colour coded courses are a similar standard to normal colour coded equivalents, but are shorter.
Courses with provisional lengths are as follows:
Ochre(Dark Yellow)easy1.4 km
Maroon(Dark Orange)moderate2.9 km
Olive(Dark Green)hard3.2 km
Navy(Dark Blue)hard4.6 km
Chocolate(Dark Brown)hard5.5 km
All courses except Ochre will cross a minor road twice. For this reason juniors under age 16 are restricted to the Ochre course.

Travel Directions Registration will be at the Forestry Commission car park for Rowney Warren. Access to the car park is from a minor road leading off the A600 Shefford to Bedford road. The event will be signed from the junction of the minor road with the A600 which is about 2.5 km north of the the A600/A507 junction.
Post code for SatNav: SG17 5QB. Beware - forests don't have exact postcodes, but this should get you near enough to pick up the event road signs.
Parking Please use the Forestry Commission car park.
Terrain & Map Rowney Warren is well-contoured pine forest with significant spur and valley structure. Map is 1:10,000, 5m contours and A4 size. Maps will be pre-printed on waterproof paper.

We will be using electronic punching. SI cards will be available to hire for 50p.

All competitors take part at their own risk.

The results from this event will be published on the Internet.
