Orienteering Club

Club Nights

Clubnights Every Tuesday

WAOC runs club nights every Tuesday evening. ALL ARE VERY WELCOME, whatever their orienteering skills or running ability. The cost is £1 per adult, 50p per junior or student and £2 per family.

The evenings will involve a variety of activities aimed at improving fitness while honing orienteering skills.

On the 1st, 3rd and 4th Tuesday of the month, the Club Nights take place at the University Athletics Centre, Wilberforce Road, CB3 0EQ. The centre boasts very impressive facilities and the surrounding area (streets, fields, University parkland etc.) is good for O-training. The Centre is at the West end of Adams Road, which runs West from Grange Road (TL434585).

The plan for these days is that people should arrive ready to start promptly at 6.45 pm - there is ample car parking and changing - and that we finish by 8:30, probably with tea, coffee and biscuits. If you would like to warm up before you run, please turn up at 6:30 when Tim Mulcahy has agreed to lead the warm-up.

On the 2nd Tuesday of each month we go 'off-site' so we will make sure you know where we shall be and also that you can get a lift there if you need one.
