Organiser's Comments
After the weather at the weekend, I was a little bit worried that the evening might be a wash out. However we were lucky and it was a great evening. Congratulations to Team Nope, the well deserved very clear winners. Although those teams with an adult running a leg at the top of the river can enjoy the knowledge that they had a decided disadvantage. Thank you Joe for taking the time to create all the many different and challenging course legs - wonderful end to the training programme. I hope that everyone enjoyed taking part.
Following the coaches meeting, a full training programme for next year has now been devised starting at the beginning of October. There is plenty to look forward to, with skills training such as bearings, relocation and race techniques as well as the fun training specialities like the Adventure Race and Indoor Micro O.
Do not worry there’s also training opportunities on what will hopefully be more sunny summer evenings, even including a couple of new areas. Keep checking the website or join the Club Night email list by emailing clubnights@waoc.org.uk.
Happy orienteering,
Helen
