Car parking arrangements have been revised and greatly improved: We have been given permission by the Greensands Trust to use their car park which is accessed from within the layby on the A6 where we normally park.
See details below on parking.
Even with pressure on car parking now resolved, we will keep the extended start arrangements.
Start times will be from 10:00. Although on line pre-entry is now closed, we are expecting most of you to enter on the day and we are not limiting map numbers on the basis of pre-entries.
We hope you will help us by sharing transport if you can.

Note: we have extended the start times from normal to try to alleviate peak parking.
Courses A full range of colour coded courses is on offer including a Long Orange as well as a Short Green in addition to the usual range of Colour Coded Courses. The Long Orange course will be ideal for the less experienced who are fit and active, especially runners who are new to the sport.

Entries Pre entries are now closed, but we expect most of you to enter on the day. Do not worry - we will print lots of maps! Entry fees on the day are the same as for pre-entry and as shown on this web page.
Start time blocks for pre-entered runners will be shown on the Fabian4 website.
We are not allocating exact start times, so just turn up at the start within your allocated block time. e.g. If your block time is 11:30, aim to arrive at the start between 11:30 and 11:45.
There will be a punching start.
Terrain Varied contoured woodland on the Greensands Ridge.
Maps 1:10,000 with preprinted courses, A4 sized, printed on Waterproof paper.
Fees Individual competitors:
Adults £9 (£2 discount for senior BOF members)
Students & first junior in family £3 (Juniors are under 21)
Further juniors in a family £2
Groups:
Family groups sharing one map are charged at the single adult rate.

Dibber hire: 50p.
Directions The event will be signed from the roundabout at the A507/A6 Junction near Clophill. ALL TRAFFIC MUST ENTER THE EVENT FROM THE SOUTH on the A6. DO NOT make a right turn from the A6. The car park entrance is at .

If approaching the area on the A507 or A6 Northbound, proceed North on the A6 at the roundabout at the A507/A6 junction near Clophill. Travel north for about 1700m. Turn left into the parking area signed Maulden Wood.

If heading to the event southbound on the A6, proceed to the roundabout at the A507 and turn 180 degrees to enter the event from the South as above.
SatNav: Postcode MK45 4AD will take you to Clophill near the roundabout mentioned above. Please follow above directions to reach the event parking.
Parking Once in the lay-by area please follow signs and marshall's directions to the Greensands Trust parking area. if this becomes full there will be space on the lay-by itself, as has been used at previous events at Maulden. The Greensands Trust car park is for Orienteer's cars only, outside of this parking on the layby is shared with the public.
We request that competitors share cars where possible.
If you are planning to bring a minibus, coach or other large vehicle, please contact the organiser in advance.

Further Information

We will be using electronic punching. SI cards will be available to hire for 50p.

Beginners are very welcome at this event and help will be available to get you started. Please read our webpage What is orienteering? It should answer any questions you have.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control at all times. Parking is adjacent to the busy A6, so dogs must be on leads in the parking area please.

Portable toilets will be provided.

All competitors take part at their own risk.


Data Protection Act: Entry information (name, age-class and club) and the results of this event will be stored on and processed by computer systems under the terms of the British Orienteering Federation's registration under the Data Protection Act. The results from this event will be published on the Internet.
