Training nights run on Wednesday evenings during school terms. The evenings involve a variety of activities aimed at improving fitness while honing orienteering skills. Each week the training is held in a different location in or near Cambridge. We join forces with CUOC, the university club, so during the University terms the training tends to be in Cambridge, and further afield outside of Uni term times. All are very welcome, whatever your orienteering skills or fitness there will be courses to suit. The format of each event varies but usually there are multiple different mini courses of differing abilities. Coaches are on hand to explain the basics, everything you want to know about the sport or give tips to help you improve. Please arrive at 6.30 p.m. We usually finish between 8.00-8.30 p.m. Regular training costs: £1 per Adult, 50p per Junior or Student, £1.50 per Family. For further information please contact Training Orienteering League:Six league competition events are spread throughout the year with short, medium and long courses (2, 4 & 6k). Best four runs out of the six events count and each course length is a separate league so there should be a competitive option for everyone or a full length course on a Wednesday evening for those that would just like a run or an interesting walk. Start times for League Events are from 6:30pm to 7pm. League event costs: £2 per Adult, £1 per Junior or Student, £3 per Family.
